IQ Server is versioned using a release identifier that is incremented sequentially for each generally available release. Most examples use the localhost environment with the default server credentials. For this to work, you should change the nexus-context-path on nexus.properties by setting the ENV NEXUS_CONTEXT. But no luck (not that I expected the generated URLs to reference /nexus based on the nginx configuration, I couldn't think of anything else to try).
Check The Repository URLs

I have installed Nexus Repository OSS using command line and I want to change the repository url from localhost to my company name. The Nexus service checks Key Vault regularly for the latest certificate matching the name you passed on deploy (nexus-ssl by default). Before deploying the Nexus shared service, you need to make sure that it will have access to a certificate to configure serving secure proxies.
After this is configured, you can upload packages to the hosted repository, as explained in Uploading PyPI Packages. If you have multiple hosted repositories, you can add them to the .pypirc file, each with a different name, pointing to the corresponding repository URL. The .pypirc file contains distutils, a default server used by PyPI that provides upload commands that store assets and authentication information. Depending on your preference for twine, distutils, pip, and setuptools, your proxy and hosted configuration will vary. A repository group allows you to expose the aggregated content of multiple proxies and hosted repositories as well as other repository groups with one URL in the tool configuration. A repository group is the recommended way to expose all your PyPI repositories from the repository manager to your users, with minimal additional client-side configuration.
Layout Policy
- Let's start by navigating to the repositories administrator menu and clicking that inviting Create repository button.
- Nexus Repository uses the Java virtual machine temporary directory for downloading and editing files.
- After you configure your .pypirc you can upload packages from the index to the repository manager.
- This is used in conjunction with a repository manager when you want to exclude redirecting repositories that are defined for integration testing.
However, your cacheddependencies and any configuration customization will be lost if the pod isrestarted for any reason. For many Red Hat images, it is recommended to add thejboss-ga repository at Maven repository. Nexus comes pre-configured for the Central Repository, but you may need othersfor your application. Youmay have toedit the podtemplate in the Nexus deployment configuration to request more resources. If it does not have thiscapability, readthe Nexus documentationto configure your build properly.
Even some configuration may not include the same parameters when they have not been set. For instance, group repositories include their memberlist while proxy repositories include their remoteUrl. Full configuration details are available when including the specific format and repository type within the request for a repository. To provide full configuration details for the repository, use the format and type specific endpoints. This generic endpoint lists the repositories the authenticated user has the browse permission to access.
Defining The Simple Web Application
Released components are considered to be solid, stable, and perpetual to guarantee that builds that depend upon them are repeatable over time. For example, consider the 1.2.0 release of the commons-lang library stored in the Central Repository. An example of such a qualifier would be a version like "1.2.3-BETA" where BETA signals a stage of testing meaningful to consumers of a software component. Versions can also have alphanumeric qualifiers which are often used to denote release status.
Mirroring Nexus

Given a component’s POM, Maven can then download any other components that are required by that component. When Maven downloads a component like a dependency or a plugin from a repository, it also downloads that component’s POM. This POM contains information that describes a project and lists a project’s dependencies — the binary software components, which a given component depends upon for successful compilation or execution. Practically, however, there is no limit to what type of component can be stored in a Maven repository. This is due to the Java background of Maven and the fact that the default component type is a JAR. These minimal settings allow Leiningen to download the declared dependencies.

Step 6: Verify Deployment
In the built-in Linux and Windows Guacamole VM bundles, PyPI and several other package managers are already configured to use the Nexus proxy by default, so manually specifying in the install commands isn't necessary. You can browse PyPI repositories in the user interface inspecting the components and assets and their details, as described in Browsing Repositories and Repository Groups. This assumes the repository manager has already been set up to use SSL, so verify your certificate works. If you prefer to configure easy_install for hosted (pypi-internal) or group (pypi-all) adjust the file accordingly. If you want pip to install or search Python within a group, configure the file to include the repository group URL. Add username and password values to access the repository manager.
IQ Server Configuration

You will need to determine which repositories are appropriate for your environment. It allows you to easily install many commonly used Linux packages on distributions such as RedHat, CentOS, and Fedora. SSH requires native Git and a properly configured SSH key that is available to IQ. To enable SSH, select the option Use SSH for Git Operations in the configuration screen. Enable Automatic SCM Configuration via the configuration menu in the toolbar.
This set of endpoints is for interacting with repositories directly. If there are no PVsavailable and you do not have administrator access on your cluster, ask yoursystem administrator to create a Read/Write Persistent Volume for you. This is not possible yet, but may be in later versions of nexus (3.0).

The Build Lifecycle
A typical, useful example is the maven-public group that is configured by default. This is possible for Maven repositories by creating a new repository with the maven2 (group) recipe as documented in Repository Management. A default installation of Nexus Repository Manager includes a two hosted Maven repositories.
We'll create new blob stores, each dedicated to a specific type of repository. We'll remove all the pre-defined repositories and the default blob storage. We covered everything from the initial server preparation to accessing the Nexus Web UI securely via HTTPS. In my previous blog post, we embarked on a journey to set up Sonatype Nexus with an Nginx reverse proxy.
Download, Search, And Install Packages Using Pip
I have an empty repository running on port 8081, with nginx in front of it answering on port 80. I'm attempting to build a new Nexus server using 2.6.3 on Ubuntu 12.04 with OpenJDK 7.
The proxy repository for PyPI packages provides a cache of files available on the index making access to components from the Python Package Index more reliable. It aggregates the maven-central proxy repository with the maven-releases and maven-snapshots hosted repositories. "pip search" command is deprecated and doesn't work with a proxy repository, but you can still search for packages in hosted repositories. A repository group allows you to expose the aggregated content of multiple proxy and hosted repositories as well as other repository groups with one URL for tool configuration. A Maven repository can be configured to be suitable for release components with the Release version policy.
